Mark McKenna, the chief executive officer and founder of OVME is a medical doctor fully certified by the Florida and Georgia State Board of Medical Examiners. He is permitted to practice surgery and medicine in these areas. A usual day for Dr. Mark McKenna starts at half past six in the morning and ends at six in the evening. He is not only dedicated to his work but also exhibits lots of passion to his patients, a fact that distinguishes him from other doctors. He prides in having over 10 years of experience in aesthetics. It is this experience that prompted him to start up OVME.
Mark McKenna was born and brought up by a medical father in New Orleans LA. He attended the Tulane University School of Medicine. Upon graduating, Mark McKenna kicked off his career in health at a firm owned by his father. He had a lot of interest in real estate and as such launched a real estate development company that was known as McKenna Venture Investment. This company thrived, to the extent of acquiring Universal Mortgage Lending as well as Uptown Titles. It became a home for more than 50 employees and became known for providing turnkey design-build, real estate closing as well as financial services.
The business, however, faced a setback when Hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans city in the year 2005. After the storm, Mark McKenna began building housing for moderate-income earners, in the quest for restructuring the city. Barely two years after the storm, McKenna moved to Atlanta GA. Here, he ventured into an aesthetic medical practice through a company he founded known as ShapeMed. McKenna later sold the company to Life Time Fitness International in 2014. He became the organization’s National Medical Director for two years.
In the year 2017, Mark McKenna founded an aesthetic company that uses technology to reinvent healthcare known as OVME. Mark McKenna has an appreciation for community service. He is a board member of Entrepreneurs Organization. He has sat on similar boards such as New Orleans Jazz Festivals as well as the New Orleans Industrial Development Board. He has a wife and two children.
